PACIFIC CITY INVITES THE COMMUNITY TO ‘EXPRESSIONS OF HOPE ART EXHIBIT
As part of Random Acts of Kindness Week, Pacific City, an open-air lifestyle, shopping, dining, and entertainment destination across from the iconic Huntington Beach Pier in Huntington Beach, California (https://www.gopacificcity.com), invites the community to “Expressions of Hope,” a powerful exhibit of more than 50 pieces of art created by people who have experienced mental health conditions and hope to inspire conversations around resilience and emotional well-being. The Expressions of Hope event will be held on Saturday, February 15th, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Additionally, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the same day, event attendees will also be able to participate in the “Hope Card Project,” an opportunity to create personalized cards as a tangible reminder of community care for those facing physical or mental health challenges. Expressions of Hope is an extension of the Signs of Hope initiative, a national program aimed at educating people about available mental wellness resources, including the nationwide 988 suicide and crisis hotline The initiative, supported by Pacific City’s management company, Centennial, joins shopping center industry leaders together in raising awareness about mental health issues and the importance of seeking life-saving crisis support. Through art and advocacy, Expressions of Hope serves as a platform to foster community outreach and break the stigma surrounding more than 22% of Americans who suffer mental health challenges.
