Out of the Darkness Walk
The 2025 Washington DC Out of the Darkness Walk on October 18th at the Lincoln Memorial supports the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention - National Capital Area Chapter. This powerful event brings together individuals, families, and communities to raise awareness and funds for suicide prevention.
Suicide is the 11th leading cause of death in the United States and the third leading cause of death in D.C. for ages 10 – 34, yet suicide can be prevented.
By walking with us, you’ll help shine a light on the importance of mental health, honor those we’ve lost, and support those who may be struggling. Together, we can save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide.
