Organ Fairchild Bringing NY Instrumental Funk Back to Cincy

LATE BLOOMING BAND “MAKING WAVES IN THE SCENE” COMING TO CINCINNATI SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 2024 AT STANLEY’S PUB, CINCINNATI BUFFALO NY – Organ Fairchild started their original music project as fifty-somethings - - nobody does that! They don’t sing or have a bass player, and this year, the youngest band member will turn 60 (SIXTY!). In spite of all that, somehow, their new “Songs We Didn’t Write” album just debuted at #1 on the Relix/Jambands national radio charts ahead of such notables as Ringo Starr, Phish, Marcus King Band, Black Keys, Widespread Panic and more. Drummer Corey Kertzie thought he was done forever as a touring musician. Dave Ruch hadn’t played electric guitar in 20+ years. The band members live in Buffalo NY but in the last four years they’ve played clubs and festivals in 15 states and Canada. What are the odds? “It’s been nothing short of a remarkable rebirth for all three of us” said guitarist Dave Ruch, who first met the other members of Organ Fairchild in a high-school cover band they played in around Buffalo. “When we decided to try our hand at songwriting for the first time back in 2020, we never could have imagined this kind of success,” he said. The very next year, Organ Fairchild was voted NY’s top emerging band for 2021 out of 64 groups. SHOW DETAILS Saturday, September 28, 2024, 8pm doors at Stanley’s Pub, 323 Stanley Avenue, Cincinnati OH 45226, 513-871-6249, https://www.organfairchild.com/cincinnati ADMISSION $10 at the door PRESS-READY PHOTOS, BIO AND MORE https://tinyurl.com/OFMedia ABOUT ORGAN FAIRCHILD: Hailed as a “fast-rising band” by Live For Live Music, and a group that's “making waves in the scene" by JamBase, Organ Fairchild craft their organ-trio-meets-rock-band sound — described as “adventurous, vital and alive” by Glide Magazine — by synthesizing influences ranging from The Grateful Dead and The Meters to Steely Dan, Pat Metheny and Santana. And when they're on stage completely captivating an audience without a bass player - and nobody singing - there is no confusing them for any other artist on today's scene. As FunkCity.net writes, “Get ready to be bowled over by this terrific trio - old school funk fusion with new era notions of jam.” Joe Bellanti –organ/keyboards Corey Kertzie – drums/percussion Dave Ruch - guitars CONTACT: Dave Ruch 716-998-2001 [email protected] www.organfairchild.com/epk
