Orange City Sorosis Club's 48th Annual Haunted House, Awakening your Nightmares
This year your nightmares will not wait for you to fall asleep... they are awake, and they are waiting. Step into a dream gone wrong — will Freddy Fazbear greet you, or will Freddy Krueger be waiting in the shadows? Navigate our infamous dark and twisted maze, a fan favorite for decades, where every turn feels wrong and every corner leads to deeper darkness. Some rooms will whisper, some will scream. Angry dolls watch from cobwebbed perches while their shadows seem to move on their own. Clowns laugh from places you can’t see, and every doorway seems to pull you one step deeper into the nightmare. You’ll face many fears before reaching the Not‐So‐Fun House, a bright, chaotic carnival space where nothing behaves the way it should. Once you exit, we strongly advise you not to run — our Jasons, yes more than one, have been known to chase guests all the way to their cars.
We are 100% volunteer‐driven, powered by about 60 volunteers each night. Many local high school students earn community service hours while learning valuable building, acting, responsibility, and commitment skills from Sorosis Club members. Our motto is “#1 for Kids,” and every scare supports programs that serve children and families throughout Volusia County, including the Annual Easter Egg Hunt, Summer Splash Bash, Lunch with Santa, Operation Santa, and participation in community festivals and celebrations.
