Opera Theatre Presents: Orfeo ed Euridice

Step inside the myth in the University of Arizona Opera Theatre's immersive production of Gluck's Orfeo ed Euridice. Unlike a traditional opera, the performance begins outdoors before audiences move into Crowder Hall, where the familiar relationship between stage and seating is transformed. Inspired by the legendary tale of Orfeo's journey into the underworld to reclaim Euridice, this powerful production explores grief, trust, transformation and the enduring power of hope through Gluck's expressive music, dynamic movement and innovative staging. Audiences become part of the theatrical experience, offering a fresh perspective on one of opera's most beloved masterpieces.
