Opening event for "Mother Was the Bride: Bridal Dress in Memories"
BERKELEY, CA — Lacis Museum of Lace & Textiles is delighted to announce the opening of its newest upstairs gallery exhibition, “Mother Was the Bride: Bridal Dress in Memories,” a journey through bridal fashion across the decades.
To toast the opening, the Museum invites you to a playful, wedding-inspired reception on Saturday, August 23, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The cake-cutting will take place at 3:00 pm.
Guests will enjoy:
- Light nibbles & refreshments — including wedding cake
- Hands-on wedding crafts inspired by wedding traditions
- Live music and poetry
- "Wedding adventure" storytelling from the past and present
- A walk through the living archive of bridal fashion
