Open House at River Bend Nature Center
The community is invited to River Bend Nature Center to enjoy a free sampling of various nature center activities on the weekend of August 10th and 11th. Visitors can enjoy a nature hike guided by naturalist, a chance to try out archery, and/or a kayak or canoe paddle on the Root River.
The self guided hiking trails, story trail and natural playscape are also available.
The activities are at no cost, thanks to a sponsorship by Foxconn.
All activities start at 9:00am, with last groups starting at 2:00pm. Archery, nature hikes and canoe and kayak rentals are available on a first come, first serve basis, with a new group starting every hour.
Participants in archery must be at least 7 years old.
Participants under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult for the canoe and kayak experience
