On Wednesday, March 8, Hundred Mile Brewing Company (HMBC) celebrates International Women’s Day with an exclusive Pink Boots Collaboration Brew Day. As an integral part of the Pink Boots Society for many years and the Pink Boots Collaboration Brew Day Coordinator for the past five, HMBC Founder Sue Rigler is as passionate about this cause as she is about craft beer.
In honor of this holiday and the event, HMBC is inviting women of the local Pink Boots Society chapter as well as the brewery’s female staff members and media, to join them for an exclusive brew day. At 10 a.m. that morning, Rigler and Head Brewer Valerie Adee will begin the brewing process for a West Coast Pale Ale in honor of the Pink Boots Society, which will be ready for release at the end of March.
HMBC will officially launch the Pink Boots West Coast Pale Ale in April and donate $1 from the sale of each pint to the Pink Boots Society. The international non-profit organization serves to assist, inspire and encourage women and non-binary individuals in the fermented/alcoholic beverage industry to advance their careers through education.
Media are invited to attend the Pink Boots Collaboration Brew Day for news stories and live television segments during which Rigler and Adee can speak further about their unique brewing process and involvement in the Pink Boot Society.
