October Historic House Tours
Join us for our Myths & Mysteries of The Octagon House, The Lady in White, or Classic Tour this fall. Tickets start at $34/person and advanced purchase is required.
10:00 am - The Classic Tour: Inside The Octagon House is perfect for first time visitors or those returning to see The Octagon House again. Including both the exterior and interior of the home, this tour provides a foundational understanding of this iconic house.
11:30 am and 1 pm - Myths & Mysteries of The Octagon House: Journey back through the history of The Octagon House to unravel the myths that have developed around the mysterious and unexplained events of the past. Learn about the unusual lives of the residents who walked these halls, its architectural connections to 19th-century spiritualism, and more.
2:30pm and 4 pm - The Lady in White: An Immersive Octagon House Ghost Story. Her ship went down in flames, but the Lady in White returned to the Octagon House and still waits for her lover to find her there. In this immersive tour experience, a 1956 ghost story written by American author and longtime owner/resident of The Octagon House unfolds while visitors explore the rooms of this unique home.
PLEASE NOTE: this is NOT a “Haunted House” tour, but an evocation of the many other-worldly myths & mysteries that have followed The Armour-Stiner Octagon House for decades.
The Octagon House is a privately owned home and active residence, in Irvington, NY (between New York City and Sleepy Hollow). All visitors to the property must purchase tickets and tour with a guide. Tours include three flights of stairs, and are therefore not suitable for wheelchair users, those with limited mobility, or those who struggle to stand for extended periods of time.
