OCNJ Historic Home's Garden Tour

Friends of OCNJ History and Culture  FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Sunday, August 11, 2024 Nancy Ferguson Notaro OCNJ HISTORIC HOME GARDEN TOUR Ocean City, NJ.  Wednesday, August 14, 2024.  Friends of OCNJ History and Culture, a newly established non-profit created to showcase our history and culture in Ocean City has announced our First Garden Tour.  There are 11 gardens on the Tour of varying sizes and types which even include a railway garden.   Graciously hosted by Passionate Gardeners, all are located on the grounds of a historic home anywhere from 80 to 120 years old.  The garden tour takes place on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 from 4:30pm to 7:30pm. You must register in advance on the link provided.  Wristband Pick-up will be from 2:00pm-5:00pm on the grounds of Ocean City’s Lifesaving Station #30, which will also be open for tours given by museum docents.  There is no cost to attend the Garden Tour, but the museum, located at the corner of 4th and Atlantic Avenue, operates by donation.  While you are waiting for the garden tour to begin; play some Croquet, use your Kilwins ice cream offer, and collect your free gift donated by C&M Greenhouses. The Garden Tour has a Scavenger Hunt element.  Take 12 required photos and submit for a chance to win a Prize. Travel to the homes located along both a Purple Route and a Green Route on foot, on your bike, on your floral-decorated golf cart, your car, or take the complimentary Jitney between the Purple Route and the Green Route.  Bring your smartphone or tablet to scan the QR Code for the tour map and garden descriptions.  No paper maps will be provided.
