NWSL Summer of Soccer
As soccer takes center stage this summer, the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) is bringing the excitement directly to fans through its Summer of Soccer Road Trip when it makes its first stop on the nationwide tour in Columbus on Thursday, June 26 ahead of the NWSL Challenge Cup, presented by e.l.f.
The tour kicks off with two distinct, immersive fan experiences, including a FanFest, taking place at McFerson Commons from 3pm - 7pm ET, while the Summer of Soccer Bus is staged outside of Scotts Miracle-Gro Field, serving as a content creator hub and podcast studio.
FanFest at McFerson Commons highlights include:
Summer of Soccer x YETI Tailgate: lawn games, giveaways*, mechanical bull, and soccer-themed lawn games
Creator-led Soccer-Tennis Tournament with youth academy players invited by Drip FC
NWSL Fan Zone presented by Nationwide featuring live entertainment from DJ BLCKUNICORN
Player meet-and-greets, sponsored by Ally, with Kaleigh Kurtz and Sam Staab
Interviews available upon request, pending availability
“March to the Match” led by the Ohio State pep band, bringing fans from McFerson Commons to ScottsMiracle-Gro Field ahead of kickoff
Activities will be live leading into NWSL’s Challenge Cup, presented by e.l.f., also marked by incredible fan programming and a halftime performance from Grammy-nominated R&B artist Amber Mark.
