Norwin Play It Forward Fund's 13th Wind-Up Wine Down & Music on Tap Set for November 18

This year’s event will be held the evening of Saturday, November 18, 2023 at The Kitchen by Vangura, 14431 Vangura Lane, North Huntingdon. The benefit will feature the ever-popular music of Good Guys. Admission includes entertainment, light bites, wine sampling, beer tasting and a keepsake. Prizes, basket and 50/50 raffles, wine and beer sales will round out the evening. Major sponsors include UPMC East, Sheetz, Somerset Bank and Trust along with Albanese Sinchar Smith & Company, Cleaveland Price, Inc., Quatrini Law Group, Synergy Group, Inc., and Vangura. Fan favorites Cenacolo, Caliente, Patti's Pasticceria, Pittsburgh Popcorn, Quinn Brewing Company and Salsa Sam will be joined by newcomers Bella Terra Vineyard, Millie's Homemade Ice Cream, and Woody's. Door prizes include a Roccbox pizza oven (Don's Appliances) and a catered dinner for four, complete with wine (Saxon Foods) as well as an Apple Watch. Advance reservations required. All seats $50. Open seating with a limited number of tables of eight. Because this event typically sells out, no seats will be sold at the door. Norwin Play It Forward Fund, a 501(c)3 charitable organization provides primarily need-based subsidies for motivated Norwin instrumental students, grades 4 – 12, who desire to improve their musical performance by taking private music lessons or attending music camp and other related experiences. The goal for students who benefit is to ultimately play it forward in the future – either financially or of giving of their time and talent to mentor other music students. Over the years, the fund has supported over 100 students with lessons, camp, and special music opportunity grants. The fund also supports an artist-in-residence program.
