Noche de Arte with Jacqueline Bermudez & TransSocial
On Monday evenings, join us for Noche de Arte in the Gallery Lounge at InterContinental Miami Hotel. Watch local artists at work, create your own postcard collages, and enjoy light bites. Each month showcases a new resident artist, making art accessible to everyone in the heart of downtown.
For June, we celebrate Pride Month with Artist in Residence Jacqueline Bermudez and TransSocial.
We have partnered with TransSocial to bring a special drink to Toro Toro! The "Love is Love" Cocktail will be available all month long with proceeds benefiting TransSocial.
About our Artist-in-Residence:
Born in Orlando, FL, Jacqueline Bermudez was raised in Caracas, Venezuela, and has lived in Miami since 1991. Surrounded by art in her childhood, she developed a passion for creating during her senior year in high school. After a hiatus to raise her family, she returned to painting in 2016, focusing on portraits. In 2020, her work was featured in three exhibits, including the Woman Made Gallery in Chicago. A self-taught artist, she primarily works with oil paints, although she enjoys watercolors and pencil. Her art reflects her spiritual connection and personal growth, showcasing bright colors, bold patterns, and symbolic animals and plants.
Noche de Arte is open to the public and free to attend. collaboARTive presents this program in partnership with the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau and InterContinental Miami Hotel, Miami Downtown Development Authority, and with support from the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs.
