Following its acclaimed Broadway run, one of the most talked-about new American plays arrives in St. Louis. New Jewish Theatre (NJT) presents the St. Louis premiere of JOB by Max Wolf Friedlich, a riveting psychological thriller that explores truth, technology, identity, and the human cost of living online.
Jane's life unravels after a viral video places her on leave from one of the world's most powerful tech companies. What begins as a routine evaluation quickly becomes an intense psychological battle, forcing both characters and audiences to examine what it means to be a citizen of the internet and our obligation to help the people who need it most.
NJT's production is directed by Annamaria Pileggi, Professor of the Practice Emerita in the Performing Arts Department at Washington University in St. Louis, where she taught for more than 30 years. Pileggi previously directed NJT's production of Tuesdays with Morrie.
