While many associate meditation with relaxation, our American Chan meditation leads to even greater benefits, including profound peace and bliss, achieved more quickly and deeply. Meet the BLI Instructors
Our classes are led by Buddhist monks and nuns from Bodhi Light International (BLI), a non-profit religious organization dedicated to benefiting all beings through the teachings of Mahayana Buddhism. The founder of BLI, Chan Master YongHua, is an American Buddhist monk based in California. He has trained over 20 monastic disciples from diverse backgrounds, all united by a passion for cultivation and service.
BLI’s instructors are trained to provide personalized guidance, ensuring each participant finds the most suitable methods for their level. Unlike traditional Buddhist teaching styles, BLI’s instructors are adept at teaching new generations and Westerners.
