NewsBash 2025
The DC NewsBash was founded in 2009 by the DC Newswomen, a collective of 40+ anchors across every major network in the DC region who have banded together to make an impact on their community.
We invite supporters, survivors, and friends to help raise awareness and critical funds for this year's beneficiary, Breast Care for Washington. Breast Care for Washington works to reduce breast cancer mortality by providing access to screenings, diagnostics, and treatment referrals for all women in the D.C. area, regardless of ability to pay. Located in Ward 8, it is the only stationary 3D mammography facility embedded within a community health clinic in the District, serving medically underserved women east of the Anacostia River. Partnering with local health centers like Community of Hope, Unity Health Care, La Clínica del Pueblo, and Whitman-Walker Health, Breast Care for Washington offers care coordination and support throughout the screening process.
