Newcomers Club to hear about Special Olympics bowling league
The guest speaker at the Newcomers Club this month will be Marilyn Senneway, head of delegation and coach for the Strike Force of New Braunfels, a bowling team for adults with intellectual disabilities. The team, which has more than 60 members, was organized by Ms. Senneway in 2008 and is affiliated with the Special Olympics of Texas. Registration and social time begins at 9:30 a.m. Visitors and prospective members are welcome. You don't have to be a newcomer to join the Newcomers Club. We schedule events, dining out and social opportunities to help residents explore New Braunfels and the surrounding area, make new friends, collect donations for worthy local causes, and be of service to our neighbors.
