In these difficult times, stories restore us. The 4th New Mexico Jewish Storytelling Festival will bring together storytellers from around the country for a weekend of performances, workshops and family programming. Want to learn to tell a story? A workshop with storyteller Cherie Karo Schwartz will give you the skills you need. Have a story to tell? There will be ample opportunity for you to share stories. On Saturday night, storyteller/musician Karen Golden will present her multi-media show: Pilviskai--my Father's Village, followed by Klezmer music and dancing. This program is not for young children, but on Sunday morning, Karen and Joanie Salem, another storyteller/musician, will lead our family program with wonderful participatory stories, followed by a multi-generational workshop on Family Storytelling by New Mexico's own Bob Kanegis, guaranteed to stimulate your creativity. All this and food, too. Join us for a mid-eastern feast on Saturday and have a chance to share stories. There is no charge for the Sunday morning family program. For tickets and more information about the Festival, check the website: www.nahalatshalom.org/storytelling
