The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. – Phoenix Metropolitan Chapter (NCBW Phoenix), presents Legends 2023, their year-end, signature holiday extravaganza and fundraiser honoring Black women and their legendary contributions to health, education, economic empowerment, and civic engagement. NCBW Phoenix has partnered with Selma the Music to bring you an unforgettable experience where art, music, and history combine to captivate audiences. This first-time in Arizona performance includes gifted actors, musicians, and vocalists, as they reenact the historic and undeniable history of voting rights as depicted by the March 7, 1965, marches across the famous Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama. Civic Engagement Honoree, Ms. Viola Ford Fletcher, aka “Mother Fletcher”, Tulsa Massacre survivor, and the world’s oldest living author, will be on hand to share her unforgettable story. Come to be informed and inspired!
