This Event has Passed
Philadelphia City Commissioners, Committee of Seventy, Circadium School of Contemporary Circus and other non profit partners will gather at City Hall’s south apron for National Vote Early Day, when Philadelphians will be encouraged to vote. Students, workers and passers-by will enjoy free food, music, circus performers, brass bands, DJs and more. Amid the festival, voters will be able to request a ballot and submit it on the spot at the Office of the Philadelphia City Commissioners.
Highlights will include:
- Appearances from Mayor Jim Kenney, Philadelphia’s three City Commissioners, Committee of Seventy CEO and President Al Schmidt, and others
- Free food from Wawa, Sweetgreen, Pizza to the Polls and more
- Performance by Circadium Circus Arts and music by DJs from Mix4Change
- Students marching from LOVE Park to City Hall with Just Act and PA Youth Vote
- College coaches and student athletes with All Vote No Play, which helps student athletes become engaged, active citizens
- Giveaways from When We All Vote, Lush, & Tony’s Chocolonely
MTV Entertainment’s Vote Early grant program is supporting local nonprofit organizations and colleges around the country, including in Philadelphia, to help them celebrate and motivate local communities to get out and vote early on Vote Early Day, Friday, October 28.
