Waubeka to Celebrate National Flag Day on June 14
WAUBEKA, WI — The birthplace of Flag Day will once again welcome visitors from across Wisconsin and beyond for its annual National Flag Day Celebration on Sunday June 14, in Waubeka.
The family-friendly event will feature a patriotic parade, uplifting Flag Day program, Veteran Recognition, museum tours, food, music, and activities for children of all ages.
A special highlight this year will be guest speaker Scott Janik, a retired U.S. Navy pilot whose distinguished military career spanned more than 30 years of service to the nation.
Children and families can enjoy a variety of activities throughout the day, including games, bounce houses, face painting, balloon art, prize opportunities, and interactive historical experiences.
As the birthplace of Flag Day, Waubeka offers a unique opportunity to celebrate the history and significance of the American flag in the community where the observance began in 1885.
The public is invited to attend and participate in this patriotic tradition honoring the American flag, our nation’s history, and those who have served to protect its freedoms.
