On Saturday, December 14, the National Children's Choir (NCC) will perform its wondrous Winter Showcase at the National City Christian Church at 4:00 pm, as they are joined for the second time by South Korea’s Lindenbaum Festival Orchestra for a special concert that celebrates peace and unity during the holidays.
The first time NCC and Lindenbaum Festival Orchestra partnered was in July 2019, where they presented a deeply moving concert inside an old military facility at the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), which separates North and South Korea. The event was the culmination of a two-year project that required international meetings, as well as government approvals, in order to gain special access to the restricted area within the DMZ where the music was to take place. The result was nothing short of impactful and life-changing for both performers and audience members, including mayors from neighboring Korean towns, dignitaries and humanitarians from around the world.
