While you stroll through the museum’s Village Green, you’ll hear acoustic music performances from local bluegrass and country singers held on the Paw Paw Post Office porch. After you shop, head over to the Mary and Richard Benck Family Agriculture Center to listen to guest speakers leading agriculture-based classes that will educate and inspire you. The Naper Settlement Farmers Market provides a beautiful backdrop for the community to gather, learn, and grow together while supporting and connecting with local farmers, businesses, and artisans. LIVE MUSIC: Sullivan Sisters Live music on the Paw Paw Post Office Porch from 4-7 PM The Sullivan Sisters have dazzled audiences since childhood with their unique blend of sister harmonies and fast bluegrass picking. The accomplished bluegrass duo was awarded the 2023 Rockygrass Banjo Champion & 3rd place Guitar winner. EDUCATIONAL CLASSES: Backyard Chickens 101 Free classes in the Benck Family Agriculture Center from 5-6 PM Curious about backyard chickens? Learn everything you need to know about raising chickens with Jessica Toran, backyard chicken enthusiast, and Naper Settlement's Learning Experiences Team Leader. Field Watchers Free from 4:30-6 PM for students ages 6-12 and their caregivers in the Benck Family Agriculture Center's IDNR Learning Lab *Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
