"Music of the Silver Screen" Civic Pops Concerts

Cincinnati Civic Orchestra members look forward to providing the gift of music during their Summer Pops concerts, titled “Music of the Silver Screen.” The five concerts will be held across the Tri-state and will feature music from “The Wizard of Oz,” “The Empire Strikes Back” and “What’s Up at the Symphony?” (aka “Bugs Bunny’s Greatest Hits”) among other popular movies. They will celebrate Disney with the ever-popular “Disney Magic” and “Pirates of the Caribbean” and perform John Williams’ themes from “AI” and “The Patriot” and John Barry’s “Dances with Wolves.” Enjoy the music of “Mamma Mia” and “Tribute to the Film Composer,” an arrangement by John Williams that includes 27 movie themes in five minutes.
The Summer Pops concerts will be great fun for both the audience and our musicians! Bring the whole family! And bring lawn chairs.
The Village Square is at Sharon Road at Greenville Ave. in Glendale.
