Mushroom ID Walk at Heritage Conservancy's Croydon Woods Nature Preserve
Located less than half a mile from the Delaware River, Croydon Woods is one of the last remaining coastal plain forests in southeastern Pennsylvania. The preserve is home to over 350 species of plants, mammals, reptiles, birds, and insects, including endangered plant species.
Sebastian will share information about the forest, and Sam will guide us along the trail, stopping along the way to identify and share information about the mushrooms we spot.
Please dress for the weather, and wear hiking or walking shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Long pants, tall socks, and long-sleeve shirts are recommended. This event is rain or shine unless there is severe weather in the forecast.
