Muppets to Monsters by SoundTrack Chamber Orchestra

June 29, 2024, Wheat Ridge, CO – SoundTrack Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of David Mejia, Founder and Artistic Director, will offer a concert entitled “Muppets to Monsters” on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at 7:00pm, at the Grant Family Amphitheater. This performance is part of the Foothills Parks and Recreation Summer Concert Series, a grant-funded community collaboration offering free family-friendly concerts to the public. The amphitheater is located within Robert F. Clement Park at 7306 W Bowles Avenue, Littleton, CO 80123. This is an outdoor concert with a grassy area for seating. Attendees are recommended to bring lawn chairs and/or picnic blankets. The SoundTrack Chamber Orchestra is a relatively new ensemble in the Denver area. It was founded by its artistic director, David Mejia, a retired band and orchestra director whose love for film music gave him the vision for this group. Mejia writes most of the arrangements himself, specifically tailored to the small chamber ensemble’s instrumentation. This concert will feature music spanning classic films, TV show themes, opera, and main titles from movies such as Monsters, Inc., and Howl’s Moving Castle. Shannon McAleb, soprano, offers her beautiful vocal talents to Ave Maria from Othello, West Side Story and more. The SoundTrack Chamber Orchestra (SCO), founded in 2021, is an all-volunteer adult chamber ensemble specializing in music from any and all stage- or screen-based genres including movies, television, opera, musicals, and more. SCO is active throughout the Denver metropolitan area and is available for performances for the general public, assisted living facilities, hospitals, festivals, 4th of July celebrations, churches, and private parties. It is a young organization with a goal of establishing a 501(c)3 nonprofit status. For more information, contact Ginger Lagemann, SCO Marketing Coordinator, at (813) 389-5079, [email protected], or visit www.SoundTrackOrchestra.org.
