Multimedia Concert and Art Show in Napa — May 10
Internationally acclaimed artist He Qi joins composer Allan Robert Petker for a multimedia art-and-music experience in Napa on May 10. Petker will conduct Touch, his composition inspired by He Qi’s art, performed by the Napa Methodist Cathedral Choir with orchestra. He Qi’s art will be projected onscreen to create an immersive, multisensory program. A post-concert reception and art exhibition will follow, with He Qi exhibiting original works and prints available for purchase.
He Qi’s bold use of color, embellished forms, and expressive brushwork blend Chinese folk art with Western influences spanning the Middle Ages to modernism. His work has been described as “Chagall meets Matisse meets Picasso meets the East.” Allan Petker is a composer and arranger with more than 250 published musical works.
All ticket proceeds benefit the CANV Napa Valley Food Bank.
