Multiculturalism and Police Presentation by Dr. Theodore Darden
Join us as Dr. Theodore Darden, Professor of Justice Studies at the College of DePage, applies his nearly 20 years of experience in criminal justice and his love for academia, as he discusses the fragile relationships between police and the communities of color.
The one-size-fits-all approach in policing has been ineffective and a much deeper understanding of the issues and concerns must be explored. Additionally, using the same thinking, practices, and procedures in policing African American communities that have historically failed and only caused more concerns must end.
