Muddy Ruckus returns to Raccoon Motel
Muddy Ruckus is an Americana-rock duo from Portland, Maine. The stripped down power duo features guitarist Ryan Flaherty, originally from Rock Island, IL and percussionist Erika Stahl. The band blends rootsy guitar and edgy percussion on a suitcase drum kit, and is known for a full rock band sound, despite their duo status. The New York Music Daily calls Muddy Ruckus "Darkly Inventive Americana."
Muddy Ruckus is wrapping up their fourth album in Portland, ME. The new album includes twelve new songs that resonate deeply with the grit and intensity of Muddy Ruckus previous music, but with more focus on the electric rock sound heard live at MR shows. The album was recorded over several months at home while drummer Erika Stahl was recovering from a Kidney Transplant during the Covid Pandemic.
