More Trees Please!
Happy Arbor Day! Join us at Pennypacker Mills on Saturday, April 29th from 10am to 2pm. We will be celebrating the importance of trees with lots of fun and educational activities. Visit the WoodMobile, a 34-foot trailer that travels throughout Pennsylvania teaching about our forests with an interactive exhibit. See a hive-box and hear our beekeeper talk about bees’ impact on trees. Learn how to identify trees with a Master Gardener. Make several themed crafts, including “Seed Bombs.” Walk our StoryWalk and read the children’s story “More Trees Please!” Take a tour of the Pennypacker mansion and learn about Governor Samuel Pennypacker’s impact on Pennsylvania forestry. All ages are welcome to visit the Mills for this free event!
Pennypacker Mills operated by the County of Montgomery’s Division of Parks, Trails & Historic Sites.
