More than Words: Dictionaries as Containers
Lisa Berglund, Ph.D professor at SUNY Buffalo State University and President of the Dictionary Society of North America, will present a talk on literal things found in early 19th century dictionaries, and what we can learn from these historic inclusions. Berglund was was of the co-curators on the current Rare Boom Room exhibition, "What Does It All Mean? Exploring the Dictionary," now on view at Central Library.
