Moonlight Paddle at River Bend Nature Center
Moonlight Paddle on the Root River
Experience the peace of nature at sunset as you float on the darkening river on a peaceful, no destination paddle surrounded by night birds, wildlife emerging on the dark riverbank, and the songs of summer insects. Upon your return to the riverbank, follow a magical path to live acoustic music at the campfire under the moon’s light along with an amazing s’mores & savory treat bar. Participants are welcome to bring beverage of their choice to enjoy by the fire.
Guests who do not want to paddle, but would like to just enjoy an evening in the forest, and music and the buffet around the campfire, are welcome to reserve their spot as well.
Music will be provided by Julien Kozak, a singer songwriter whose soothing voice and intricate guitar melodies take influences from the likes of James Taylor, John Mayer, and Ed Sheeran.
Paddle – Launch between 7:00pm- 7:30pm
Music and buffet begin at 8:30pm and end at 10:30pm.
Reservations are required, and include canoe or kayak rental, sweet and savory buffet, campfire and live music. Space is limited.
Admission Cost per person: $50 members / $55 non-members.
