On Saturday August 22 open from 10 AM until 5 PM, and on Sunday, August 23 the hours will be 11 AM until 3 PM. This great family event is FREE & OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. There will be 3 OPERATIONAL MODEL TRAIN LAYOUTS. Young and old will enjoy this opportunity to enjoy model trains. Young model train enthusiasts will have the opportunity to take control of a train will the help of experienced model train hobbyists. This public exhibit features detailed dioramas of varying themes with operating model trains traveling over 200 feet of trackage. Many of the dioramas, or modules, have won nation...     The Model RAILROAD DAYS will be August 22-23 at the Tennessee Central Railway Museum. On Saturday August 22 open from 10 AM until 5 PM, and on Sunday, August 23 the hours will be 11 AM until 3 PM. This great family event is FREE & OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. There will be 3 OPERATIONAL MODEL TRAIN LAYOUTS. Young and old will enjoy this opportunity to enjoy model trains. Young model train enthusiasts will have the opportunity to take control of a train will the help of experienced model train hobbyists. This public exhibit features detailed dioramas of varying themes with operating model trains traveling over 200 feet of trackage. Many of the dioramas, or modules, have won national awards, and been part of the National Record Breaking T-Trak Layout in Chattanooga, Aug 1 & 2, 2026. There will be clinics about several aspects of model railroading that are designed to help anyone get started or improve their model train layout. The Tennessee T-Trak associates has members from Tennessee and surrounding states that build portable T-Trak modules to the T-Trak standards so they can be assembled into a working layout for public events. All that is needed is an open space, banquet tables and a power source. Members bring their own trains that can be run remotely.
