Guests are invited to celebrate the ingredients, cooking techniques, and flavor profiles of the African diaspora through a multi-course menu developed by Chef-in-Residence Jocelyn Jackson and culinary historian Dr. Jessica B. Harris. The commemorative event honoring Dr. Harris’ insights and career will begin with a champagne toast in the lobby of MoAD before transitioning to a seated dinner in The St. Regis, accompanied by music and entertainment. Following the meal, a lively conversation moderated by chef, scholar, and food activist, Adrian Lipscombe, will explore Dr. Harris’ twelve acclaimed books and contributions to the histories of African foodways.
