Miller Campbell - Madrona Music in the Playground
Music in the Playfield is a free Tuesday night concert series each August at Madrona Playfield in Seattle. Spread a blanket on the grass, bring low chairs and dinner, let the kids run, and stay for two 45-minute sets from 6 to 8 PM. All ages, no tickets, rain or shine.
Tuesday, August 11 brings Miller Campbell, a twangy heartland rocker channeling Tom Petty and John Mellencamp. A cousin of country legend Glen Campbell, she played in a Seattle band for three years before settling in Bigfork, Montana, where she writes and records. Her self-titled debut album was released this year, and the band is touring the UK and Europe this summer.
