Midwest Premier Screening of “Puppy Love” and Director Q&A
Wayfarer Theaters will host the Midwest premier screening of “Puppy Love” with a Q&A with director Gail Gilbert and a dog costume contest on Saturday, October 26 at 2:00 p.m. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Chicagoland Lab Rescue.
“Puppy Love” Synopsis: Community, love, conflict and legacy all come into play when a healthy litter of puppies is suddenly paralyzed, and no one knows why. Vets recommend putting the dogs down, but a group of courageous women rally together, and nothing is off the table as they try Chinese herbs, acupuncture, underwater treadmills and even chicken soup to save the pups. Between the dogs’ will to live and the women’s perseverance, this incredible journey leads to outcomes that were never thought possible.
