Chicago’s beloved Midnight Circus in the Parks returns to the Big Top for a milestone 20th Anniversary Season, bringing world-class circus, community and joy directly into Chicago neighborhoods. This year’s all-new show features an extraordinary ensemble of 16 acrobats and one rescued pit bull, with breathtaking aerial acts, tightwire, hand balancing, acrobatics, juggling, comedy and more—all performed just feet from the audience under Midnight Circus’ intimate Big Top. For 20 years, Midnight Circus has believed that the circus belongs to everyone. What began as a neighborhood effort to save a local playground grew into a Chicago tradition that has brought internationally acclaimed circus artists into communities across the city while raising more than $2 million for local parks and community organizations. Funds raised through Midnight Circus have helped rebuild playgrounds and nature centers, after-school programs, park equipment and other neighborhood projects.
