MHSD 3rd Annual Recovery Walk and Fishing Rodeo
This free family-oriented community event is held annually to celebrate those in recovery, seeking recovery and supporting recovery from substance use, mental illness and intellectual/developmental disabilities. A fishing rodeo takes place for people wanting to learn how to fish at Joe Brown Park. A Recovery walk also takes place around victory track at Joe Brown Park in New Orleans East. Refreshments for the family will be offered, music, and children events will also be going on. Information for services offered at MHSD will be highlighted in this event while celebrating that recovery is for everyone
