Free stuff, a live treasure hunt, giveaways, music, food trucks, and a giveback to Phoenix families in need! That’s what’s coming to the Metro District on Friday June 5th and Saturday June 6th as MetroMerch celebrates its grand opening with a two-day community block party.
The fast-growing liquidation retailer is opening its newest Valley location with thousands of dollars in giveaways, discounted merchandise from major retailers like Amazon, Target, and Sam’s Club, plus live entertainment and family fun.
But there’s also a bigger mission behind the bargains. A portion of grand opening sales will benefit local Phoenix family shelters helping families transition into permanent housing, while smartwatches and fitness trackers will be donated to local youth after-school programs.
Shoppers can expect a “treasure hunt” experience where premium items are hidden throughout giant bargain bins at deeply discounted prices, with a festival-style atmosphere complete with music and food trucks.
