Mele Hali'a at Waikiki Beach Walk
Mele Hali‘a means to “Recall Fondly,” and true to its name, the event honors authentic art of Hawaii as award-winning local artists share the mele and hula traditions of their ancestors, families and friends.
For the July Mele Hali'a, former members of the renowned halau Men of Waimāpuna and Women of Ke Ala O Ka Lauaʻe will gather to present Eo lei iliahi, a spectacular, one-of-a-kind hula and mele concert in honor of a Hawaiian legend who forever altered Hawaiiʻs entertainment and hula industry.
