Mean Girls High School Version
This year, Cheshire High School is excited to be producing MEAN GIRLS: The High School Version. Based on adaptations of the book Queenbees and Wannabes, the 2004 movie and the 2018 Broadway Musical, this show is a study in teenage girls and their toxic hierarchies. After transferring from a sheltered childhood in the Kenyan savanna to suburban Illinois, Cady Heron is confronted with a new sort of wildlife - The Plastics, a trio of female frenemies led by the ruthless Regina George. Encouraged by her new alliances to gain status and end Regina's reign as Queenbee, Cady learns the hard way that "you can’t cross a Queen Bee without getting stung.” (www.mtishows.com)
