Aug. 30, 2013, Blue Bell, Pa. Montgomery County Community College (MCCC) will hold its 20th Annual Community Day on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at its Central Campus, 340 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell. Admission is free of charge and is open to the community.
The annual event features an array of activities and entertainment for all ages and interests. Children's attractions include a moon bounce, pony rides, face painting, sandbox activities and arts and crafts, among others. Teens and adults can learn more about the College's programs during an Admissions presentation and tour at 11 a.m.
Community Day will also include a popular Health & Wellness Expo, during which MCCC's Nursing program will offer $20 flu vaccinations on a first-come, first-served basis for those age 18 and older. The expo will also include blood pressure screenings, as well as a wide variety of health-related information.
A variety of food from community vendors, including a Farmer's Market featuring local produce, will be available for purchase throughout the day. Guests will also enjoy live music throughout event, including a special performance New York City singer/songwriter Ronnie Gent and MCCC Music Instructor/bassist Michael Kelly.
At noon, attendees are invited to grab lunch and head over to the College's athletic fields to watch the Mustangs women's soccer team take on Brookdale Community College in NJCAA region 19 action
