A Harmonious Celebration: Lads, Lassies, and Off Kilter Unite for an Inspiring Concert
[Maryville, TN] — Music lovers are invited to experience an extraordinary evening of vocal excellence as three talented ensembles—Lads, Lassies, and Off Kilter—come together for a special concert showcasing a dynamic range of historical styles and genres.
The performance will feature Lads, an ensemble of lower voices, and Lassies, an ensemble of higher voices. These two groups will unite to form Off Kilter, a chamber group of mixed voices, offering a rich and varied musical experience.
Audiences can look forward to a repertoire that reflects the themes of social change, with selections from the upcoming "Times, They Are A-Changin'" spring choir tour through South Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee. Highlights of the program include stirring renditions of "If I Had a Hammer", "Stand Up", "Blackbird", and "Big Yellow Taxi"—songs that continue to inspire and resonate across generations.
The ensembles are under the expert guidance of celebrated directors and musicians. Stacey Murphy Wilner leads Off Kilter and Lassies, while Jenny Olander Anderson directs the Lads and serves as collaborative pianist for the Lassies. Chase Hatmaker accompanies Off Kilter and the Lads on piano, joined by his wife, Amber Nejme-Hatmaker, on percussion, adding vibrant rhythms to the performance.
Don’t miss this inspiring celebration of music and unity.
