Make Groceries Affordable Again food giveaway
Americans for Prosperity-Florida (AFP-FL), the premier grassroots advocacy organization committed to promoting economic freedom and opportunity, will host a special community event emphasizing the importance of extending the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and keeping more money in residents’ pockets. The “Make Groceries Affordable Again” event will be held Saturday, June 28, in partnership with The Greater El Bethel Church.
The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act is set to expire at the end of the year, and allowing it to lapse would be a devastating blow for Floridians, potentially increasing the federal tax bill of the average Florida family of four by $3,500. To illustrate this impact, AFP-FL and The Greater El Bethel Church are providing $3,500 worth of fresh food baskets to the first 100 families in line for the event. Each family will receive a basket containing chicken, fruit and vegetables, bread, and eggs, all ready to take home and prepare.
