Magnificent Distances Photography Show Reception
Come explore and celebrate the work of the DC Street Photography Collective’s photography show “Magnificent Distances” at a Workhouse reception on June 8 from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM.
The political arena often dominates the narrative surrounding the nation’s capital. Stereotypical images of power-hungry politicians give an impression that the District is a dark and serious place full of evildoers and over achievers. This exhibition is a collaborative effort to humanize our hometown of Washington, DC. Magnificent Distances aims to add a second DC narrative to our country’s collective consciousness, one that shows a lighter side amidst the tumultuous backdrop — a place where ordinary people live their lives, unperturbed by the federal shadow.
