Madison Verlo Mattress® Stores Donate $4,850 to Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin
Verlo Mattress®, a trusted source for American-made, locally crafted made-to-order mattresses in Madison, announced today the results of its month-long donation program, ‘Mattresses for Meals.’ The initiative raised $4,850 for Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin, supporting its mission to combat food insecurity across the region.
To celebrate this achievement, a check presentation event will take place on Friday, Dec. 20, at 3:00 p.m. at the Verlo Mattress of West Madison store, located at 2713 West Beltline Highway.
Throughout November, Verlo Mattress stores in Madison pledged $50 to Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin for every mattress purchased. Thanks to the support of local customers, the campaign achieved its goal of making a meaningful impact on the community having sold a total of 97 mattresses as part of the cause.
“We are thrilled to share the results of our campaign and extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone in the Madison area who made this possible,” said Carmen Strum, Co-Owner of Verlo Mattress of the two Madison locations. “Together, we’ve taken meaningful action to address food insecurity in our community, helping families and individuals during this holiday season.”
The ‘Mattresses for Meals’ campaign also offered customers $50 off their mattress purchases, demonstrating Verlo’s commitment to supporting the local community while providing high-quality, customizable, American-made mattresses. The funds raised will help the local food bank continue their vital work of distributing food to families and individuals in need.
