Lou Del Bianco, Port Chester resident and author, will discuss his and his family’s journey to get his grandfather Luigi the recognition he deserves for being the chief carver of Mount Rushmore. At age 23, Lou and his uncle Caesar made the painful discovery that Luigi is not mentioned in the most definitive book on Mount Rushmore. Historic documents they unearthed from the Library of Congress tell Luigi’s story and prove his great importance. This program is funded in memory of Dr. Vincent Barbarisi.
