Lost Wax Casting & Carving

Learn the wax carving process in full, starting with fundamental design and layout strategies, moving on to carving techniques and methodologies, and then how to prepare the wax model for casting. Finally, you will sprue, invest and centrifugal cast your own wax model into silver! Learn about the tools used in the wax carving process, their functions and proper use. By the end of the workshop, you will gain a solid understanding of wax carving, find your path to creating wax models, and take home an original cast piece. Projects can include pendants, earrings and rings of your own design. All levels welcome. *September 22 is the arrival day for this session. Workshop instruction starts on September 23 and ends September 27.
