Los Lunas Route 66 Centennial Logo Contest

U.S. Route 66 was established in 1926, connecting Chicago, Illinois to Santa Monica, California. 2026 will mark the 100th Anniversary of Route 66. The Village of Los Lunas, New Mexico was located on the original alignment of Route 66 from 1926 to 1937 before it was rerouted through Albuquerque. Los Lunas is excited to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Route 66 and will be hosting events throughout 2026 in honor of the part we played in the early years of the Route. We would like to have a special commemorative logo made to align all of our events. We are seeking a graphic artist to create a logo that embodies our history on Route 66. This logo will be used on promotional materials, websites, advertisements, event postings, etc. Guidelines: - ‎Submissions must be made through EntryThingy.com. The title of the call is Route 66 Centennial Logo - Los Lunas, New Mexico. EntryThingy For Artists - List of Current Calls for Entry - Each artist may submit up to three unique designs or variations. - File Format: For the purposes of the initial application, an image of your logo design is sufficient. However, if you are selected, we will require a vector file that can be expanded without losing quality. - Style: Logo should be circular - Logo should be in color, but if selected, a black and white version will also be requested. If you would like to submit the corresponding B&W version with your application, please feel free to do so. - This call is open to all artists living in the United States. - ‎There is no cost for entry for artists. - All entries must be original art created by the artist without the use of generative AI. Entries that do not comply with this may be disqualified. Rewards & Recognition: - Top 3 artists selected will have their designs, names, handles, etc. displayed on posters at the Los Lunas Village Hall and on the Village website at www.loslunasnm.gov. Letters conveying that the artist was on the short list of winners will be mailed to these artists. - The winning artist will have their logo featured prominently on marketing collateral and events pertaining to Route 66 activities. They will also receive a one-time cash prize of $250. Although this logo is specifically intended for 2026 100th anniversary events, it is possible the Village will want to use the logo for future events, publications, marketing, etc. The artist acknowledges that the Village has the right to use the logo how they see fit even if it is beyond the original scope for the project.
