Lockey Studio is part of On & Off Fred 2026, the 18th Annual Studio Tour in San Antonio, and this stop brings together a father-and-son pairing with two distinct styles: Locosan and Texas Mess.
Locosan is the ceramic practice of Jerry Lockey, whose hand-built vessels, sculptural birds, garden creatures, and richly glazed forms fill the patio and studio with a handmade, story-driven atmosphere. Texas Mess is the recycled contemporary work of his son Shamus Lockey, bringing a younger, modern visual language shaped by found materials, bold surfaces, and an unmistakably local sensibility.
Together, the show offers visitors a chance to see two generations of makers in one place during the annual studio tour.
